Trading futures involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. All performance figures shown are TradingView backtests / validation results, not live audited returns — past and backtested performance is not indicative of future results. LCL Trades sells invite-only access to TradingView strategy scripts; nothing here is financial advice.

Essential calculators for futures traders. No sign-up required.

Two calculators built for the way we trade Micro Gold (MGC) and Micro Nasdaq (MNQ) futures. Use the position-size calculator to work out how many contracts fit a fixed dollar risk and stop distance, and the reward-to-risk calculator to translate your stop and target into ticks, dollars and an R-multiple before you take the trade. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is stored and no account is needed.

Why position sizing matters on a funded account

On a prop-firm account a single oversized trade can breach your trailing drawdown and end the account. Sizing every entry to a fixed dollar risk — rather than a fixed number of contracts — keeps your losses consistent no matter how wide the stop is, which is exactly the discipline behind the LCL Champion strategies.

Reading reward-to-risk in ticks and dollars

MGC moves in $1.00 ticks and MNQ in $0.50 ticks, so the same number of ticks is worth a different amount on each market. The reward-to-risk calculator converts your stop and target into both ticks and dollars and shows the R-multiple, so you can compare setups across instruments on a like-for-like basis.
